Orders

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe receives what you enter there, including your name, email, shipping address, and payment details. Postal Design does not store your card number. After an order is paid, we keep the Stripe checkout id, the product SKUs, the amount, and the time. We use that to see what sold. The shipping address used to send the package stays with Stripe.

New product emails

If you enter your email on the home page, we store it so we can email you when a new product comes out. That list stays with Postal Design. It is not sent to a separate email company. The site does not delete these addresses on a schedule. Email eric@postaldesignllc.com if you want yours taken off.

Browsing

The shop keeps your cart, the products you liked, and a random visitor id in local storage on your device. The shop code does not set its own cookie for those. Before we save the visitor id, we store only a shortened hash of it. With a page view we also store the page, a simple source such as direct or YouTube, and an approximate country, state, and city from the host's location headers. We do not store your IP address. We also store how far down the page you scrolled and about how long you stayed. The newest 500 page views and the newest 200 scroll-and-time records are kept. Older ones of those two lists are deleted. Visit totals are not deleted on a schedule.

If you click the email address link, we record that the link was clicked, the page you were on, and the same visitor id. We do not receive the message you send. We use these records to see which pages are opened. They are not sent to an outside analytics company.

Who else sees a visit

The site is delivered by Vercel and Cloudflare. They see the connection used to load the page, which includes an IP address. We do not copy that IP address into our records. You do not need an account to shop.
